Our Team

Our team consists of enthusiastic professionals, having scientific and didactic careers with more than 10 years of experience. This allowed us to develop personally and professionally in academic environments, working on complex and diverse projects.

But even more important than that, we are fueled by the pleasure to share our knowledge and joy of learning with everyone who is curious. We focus on collaboration over competition, rigorous but intuitive communication and include subjects such as the history and philosophy of science, practical applications, technology and even literature.

Throughout my studies and academic career, I’ve always been attracted by the abstract, the rigorous, those thought objects which function by clear rules, governed by logic, but not always obvious.

I’ve obtained my BSc. degree at the Faculty of Physics of the University of Bucharest, my MSc. and PhD. in noncommutative algebra at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of the same University, then I returned for another MSc. degree in logic programming and digital security.

I have authored research papers, but I’m most proud of my teaching experience, which includes both undergraduate and graduate courses at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, Faculties of Automatic Control and Computers, Electronics and Space Engineering of the Politehnica University, as well as the Faculty of Philsophy, all in Bucharest, Romania.

  • I hold a double PhD. degree in history and political sciences at the University of Bucharest and the UL of Bruxelles, Belgium.

My academic and teaching career revolves around undergraduate and graduate courses of history of sports, but I am also a former journalist, which enabled me to keep in touch with professionals of various fields.

I’m a tech enthusiast and enjoy reading about modern technology and scientific breakthroughs in our times.

Our friends and advisors who help us with the infrastructure, technology, programming and preparing course materials:

  • By and large, I’m a programmer. I’ve worked as a game developer and currently I’m part of the Defender team at Microsoft.

I’ve taught undergraduate seminars and labs focusing on Operating Systems, Security and Programming at the University of Bucharest.

  • A mathematician with a PhD. in Differential Geometry, I’ve been teaching at the secondary school level for about 20 years. I have also kept in touch with the research in my field, publishing scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals.

Recently, I took some courses in creative writing and have published short stories in magazines and books in Romania.

  • I’m a computer scientist and teacher currently working in Embedded Systems. I taught logic programming, network programming and formal verification and am currently enrolled in a PhD. in Formal Verification.

  • My PhD. is in Computer Science and I work as a Machine Learning programmer and researcher, focusing on speech recognition and automatic translations. I am also deeply interested in formal mathematics and category theory, as well as proof assistants and functional programming.

  • Physicist at heart (PhD. in Quantum Information Theory), I’ve also ventured into programming. I’m currently a researcher at the IMDEA Madrid Institute, working on Graph Neural Networks and various Machine Learning topics.

Recently, I’ve also came back to my QIT interests, researching and teaching on the subject.
