FAQ

  • First of all, we get to meet each other.

This meeting is free and can be organized either online, or at our location in Bucharest.

Its main goal is to understand your situation: your education levels, your goals, your requests, and, of course, our suitable proposition.

We won’t ask about your grades or diplomas, we won’t give you any tests, but would like to know how you evaluate yourself and your aspirations. Our assigned professor will also make their own evaluation which will be discussed with you.

We will present you our custom offer and, if we reach an agreement, you will sign a contract which contains the lessons you choose, with an initial number of hours, which can be extended as needed.

  • Flexibility and customization are crucial for us. As such, we offer both online and face-to-face lessons: the choice is yours and you can even change your mind during the contract.

For online lessons, we use the Microsoft Teams platform, for which a Microsoft account is recommended, but not mandatory.

Face-to-face we currently operate only in Bucharest, Romania, District 3.

We use mostly digital materials (manuals, problem books and sheets, tests, web, desktop, and mobile apps) and all of them will be made available to you at no additional cost! We can also work with your books and materials if they are enforced at school.

As for the organization, the contract works on a hourly basis. You choose a package containing N hours, which will be split and organized in meetings as we agree. The minimum recommended meeting time is 1 hour, the maximum being 4 hours in a day. But, you guessed, we are flexible.

You also get to choose whether you want to work alone or in a group. We do our best to make groups of not more than 5 students with similar levels, but gladly honour requests for individual lessons, with no additional cost.

  • No.

The most important gain is your knowledge.

By offering a diploma that is recognized by the Ministry of Education or employers we would have added extra complications which we didn’t want to take.

But we assure you that we tailored the curricula such that they contain both topics studied in school and practical skills which will help you develop and even build your own professional portfolio of projects.

  • Generally speaking, we firmly believe in continuous evaluation.

Depending on the lessons that you choose, your level and your progress, as assessed by the allocated professor, you will have written tests or oral examinations throughout the contract. But you will know in advance and we will schedule them to best fit your learning experience.

There are no grades, no averages. We are working on an automated online system to track your progress, but until then, we gladly discuss feedback and comments whenever they are needed.

  • Our target audience is very loosely defined, mostly because we customize the learning materials for every student. Even “student” is a loose term here, since you could be an adult professional or even retired, but still eager to learn. We have something for everybody.

As for our goals, call us old fashioned, but we seek and spread knowledge for the sake of knowing. Yes, some of our materials do follow school curricula or professional skills, but this doesn’t mean that if you’re not studying mathematics at school or you graduated some twenty years ago you are not welcome! The only requirement is that you are curious: about mathematics, about science, about learning.

  • Sure!

We are always excited and willing to expand our team and horizons through collaborations of all kinds!
